We built this adapted raised bed in this beautiful garden in Black Creek. The bed was designed to be high enough to help with mobility challenges. The client was also interested in using permaculture methods to reduce water usage so we built the raised cedar bed with a hugelkultur bottom. This will act as a sponge for water for plants to tap send their roots down into and also will release nutrients into the soil over time.
